This is the story of The Angel and The Telescope. We have highlighted the words Mother and Father in the story to show where the names of the parents will go. So when you read the story to yourself, whenever you see the word Mother, in your mind say the name of the woman who is having the baby. And when you see the word Father, just say in your mind the name of the man. Of course, your customized version will have the names of the parents you enter into the information form.

The Angel and the Telescope

So one of the angels has got a new telescope and is looking out towards Earth from those big french doors just to the right of the Pearly Gates. Not all that much to do, you know, while you’re waiting to become somebody’s new baby.

Anyway, the angel is looking around Earth and all of a sudden starts shouting in a most excited voice, “Wow, how cool is this, Mother and Father want to have a baby.”

Well, you know what happened next.

All the other angels stopped what they were doing and after a moment of complete silence, they all start running and pushing and shoving and knocking each other over trying to be first in line because they all want to be Father and Mother's baby.

Except for the angel with the telescope.

That angel is just standing quietly, watching all the craziness and shouting going on. All of the other angels are yelling and yanking on each others’ wings, all trying to get into the elevator to Earth first so they can have Mother and Father for their Mom and Dad.

And just then God walks in, steps over all the little angels rolling around on the floor and goes straightaway over to the angel with the telescope in the corner.

“I can tell”, says God to the angel, “that you have been watching patiently with your telescope -- waiting for the most awesome set of perfect parents.”

“ Father and Mother are yours.”

“Better get yourself going, your beautiful new life is waiting for you.”

“And remember how much I love you.”

So the angel left the telescope right there by the French doors, got in the elevator, pushed the Earth button and went to meet up with the most perfect parents ever.

Now this is a precious story and would be a great gift all by itself, but combined with this piece of artwork, with the words superimposed over the picture. The result is breathtaking. The picture is low resolution here on the website but yours will be in a much higher resolution and will be the 8 x 10 inch size so that all the words will fit on it perfectly in a very readable size.
